If you’re visiting with family, there is absolutely no shortage of things to keep everyone entertained. Just a mile away, the Camel Adventure Park is a fantastic spot specifically designed for young children. If the kids need to burn off some energy, check out The Tide Indoor Climbing Centre, located within two miles of the house—it actually boasts the largest indoor climbing wall in all of Cornwall!
For a classic family day out, the famous Camel Trail is a must. You can hire bikes and enjoy a gorgeous, mainly flat 17-mile ride that follows the River Camel and the old North Cornwall railway line all the way from Padstow through Wadebridge and Bodmin. Finally, when you head into Padstow Harbour, make sure to pop into the National Lobster Hatchery. It’s a highly recommended visit where you can see young lobsters being reared and learn all about the important marine conservation work happening right on the Cornish coast.
